Privacy notice
This notice explains how New Portland Exchange (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information through this website, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you register your interest, we collect your work email address and the size of your team. When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so that the site can be delivered securely. To protect the registration form from abuse, we keep a one-way, day-salted hash of your IP address for a short period. We do not collect special category information.
How we use it
We use your details to send you updates about New Portland Exchange, including news about floors, layouts, terms and opening; to understand the kinds of teams interested in the building; to keep the website secure and working; and to meet our legal obligations.
Our lawful bases
We rely on your consent to send you updates, which you can withdraw at any time. We rely on our legitimate interests to operate, secure and improve the website, and on legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or share information.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with people who need it to run the project: our project team, the agents and advisers working on the building’s letting, and service providers who host the website, store data or provide analytics on our behalf, such as Cloudflare and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google. They may only use it on our instructions. We never sell personal information, and we don’t share it with others for their own marketing. We may disclose information if required by law.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep your registration until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and in any case no longer than twelve months after the building opens. Technical logs are kept for a short period for security, then deleted.
Keeping it safe
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and restricted access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply to any of our emails to exercise your rights. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We sort them into two kinds:
Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. These are always on. Your choice is stored on your device (in local storage) and is not sent to us.
Analytics. Optional. Google Tag Manager is present on every page, but with all storage switched off by default (Google Consent Mode). Only if you choose “Accept all” do we allow Google Analytics to set cookies to understand how the site is used, for example which sections people read and where visits come from. These set cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years. Google acts as our service provider and may process this data outside the UK. If you choose “Necessary only”, no analytics cookies are set. We don’t use advertising cookies.
Cookieless measurement. Our host, Cloudflare, provides privacy-first Web Analytics that counts page views and page performance without cookies, local storage or fingerprinting, and without identifying you. It runs for every visitor.
You can change your choice at any time using . You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16.
